This box contains the Elite companies (Voltigeurs and Grenadiers) of a French Infantry battalion. All figures are represented skirmishing. The voltigeurs were picked for their skill in shooting and agility. Grenadiers were the longer serving men who were the backbone of the battalion and normally lead the charge or held the line. They were also called on for skirmishing duties. All figures are in the pre-1812 long tailed coat and overalls. A full painting guide in the box covers details for painting these as French, Swiss, Kingdom of Italy and Neapolitan troops.
